The new resources for my final project are:

1. http://www.stuff.co.uk/calcul_nd.htm

"English Stuff" is an interactive website full of practice tests on the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet). The quiz section allows the learner to look at a phonetic script and write the words in English.

2. James Barnett

James is a friend and mentor who teaches English at a local university to Vietnamese students. He's agreed to meet with me on Sunday mornings to help me practice and test me. He will provide texts written in IPA and listen to me read. He will assign texts written in English that I will have to write out using the phonetic chart. He will also provide me with feedback on my progress.

3. "Alfred's IPA Made Easy: A Guidebook for the International Alphabet", by Anna Wentlent. and

"The IPA for Language Learning: An Introduction to the International Phonetic Alphabet", by Joshua Rudder.

The first book I was able to download immediately through Amazon on my kindle. The other I ordered and believe it is worth it due to it being a workbook that includes practice exercises. Useful for my own progress and I may even be able to use some of the exercises in class with my students.
